About Janine Design
If you love jewelry that feels personal—not mass-produced—
you’re in the right place.

I’m Janine Gerade, the designer and maker behind Janine Design in Holliston, Massachusetts. I create handmade jewelry and meaningful gifts, and I’m also known locally for costume jewelry repairs that many stores won’t handle—from restringing beads to fixing clasps and giving well-loved pieces a second life.
Why I do this
Jewelry holds stories: anniversaries, travel, music, milestones, and the everyday moments that matter. My goal is simple—make pieces you’ll actually reach for and help you keep wearing the jewelry you already love.
What you’ll find here
• Handmade jewelry designed and assembled with care in New England
• Gift-ready packaging so it’s easy to send something special
• Repairs welcome (especially costume jewelry and sentimental pieces)
• Custom work when you want something one-of-a-kind for a specific moment
My background (the short version)
My love of jewelry started young—playing with my grandmother’s beads and treasures—and it grew into formal training in fine arts and metalsmithing, plus a background in graphic design. Over the years, my work has been featured in jewelry and fashion publications, and I’m proud to be part of a community that supports handmade.
A note from me
“I love creating pieces for special moments—and helping you bring old favorites back to life.”
